Padda deleted her Insta after facing backlash for calling Dhurandhar a propaganda film
The controversy surrounding Dhurandhar: The Revenge intensified recently after Aneet Padda’s sister, Reet Padda, shared her critical views about the film on social media. Her remarks quickly triggered a wave of strong reactions online, with many users condemning her stance after she described the Ranveer Singh-led project as a politically driven narrative.

Reet found herself at the center of a heated digital debate after openly questioning the film’s intent and messaging. Her comments, posted in response to another user on Instagram, were widely circulated through screenshots, which rapidly gained traction across various platforms. As these posts spread, supporters of the film reacted sharply, leading to an intense backlash that escalated within hours.

As criticism mounted, Reet initially restricted access to her Instagram profile by switching it from public to private. However, the situation evolved further when her account appeared to have been completely removed. Attempts to locate her profile began returning an error message indicating that the page was no longer available, suggesting that it had either been deleted or taken down. In addition to Instagram, her presence on LinkedIn also disappeared, signaling a complete withdrawal from public online platforms following the controversy.

In her now-viral remarks, Reet had expressed skepticism about the film’s narrative approach, grouping it alongside The Kashmir Files and suggesting that both projects promote a particular ideological viewpoint. She implied that the storytelling leaned in favor of official narratives, incorporating political messaging to justify controversial policy decisions, which she believed aligned with a specific agenda.

Meanwhile, the film at the center of the debate continues to enjoy massive commercial success. Serving as a sequel to the earlier installment, the franchise has established itself as a major box-office force. The story revolves around an undercover Indian intelligence officer who infiltrates criminal and political networks in Karachi with the aim of dismantling terror operations targeting India. Alongside Ranveer Singh, the film features a prominent ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, further contributing to its widespread appeal.
