New Delhi: Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi will remain under observation at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here for a couple more days, sources said on Wednesday.

According to hospital authorities, Gandhi, 79, was admitted at 10.22 pm on Tuesday.

Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Chairman Dr Ajay Swaroop said Gandhi's condition is stable and a team of doctors is closely monitoring her health.

Doctors are conducting further examinations to check for a possible stomach and urinary tract infection, and antibiotics have been administered as part of the treatment, the hospital said.

The sources said Gandhi was unwell, possibly due to a change in the weather. There is no cause for concern and her condition is not serious.
