India’s squad for five T20Is against South Africa announced
Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side as captain, with Smriti Mandhana appointed as her deputy. The batting lineup features power hitters Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Bharti Fulmali, Uma Chetry, Anushka Sharma, and wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh. Notably, Anushka Sharma, who played a stellar season for Gujarat Giants in this year’s Women’s Premier League (WPL), has earned her maiden national call-up after scoring 177 runs in seven innings at an average of 25.28 and a strike rate of 129.19.

The spin department will see the experienced Deepti Sharma paired with Shreyanka Patil and Sree Charani, while the pace attack comprises Renuka Thakur, Arundhati Reddy, and Kranti Gaud.
The series will kick off with two T20Is in Durban on April 17 and 19, followed by two matches in Johannesburg on April 22 and 25. The final fixture will take place in Benoni on April 27.
