Dhurandhar 2 box office collection: Ranveer Singh’s movie eyes Rs 200 crore on Day 1, sells over 10 lakh tickets in India

Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is gearing up for its grand theatrical release on March 19. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel to a blockbuster has already created massive buzz. A few weeks ago, while unveiling the trailer, the makers also announced special paid previews starting from the evening of March 18, giving audiences a chance to watch the film early. With a runtime of 3 hours and 55 minutes, the film is among the longest releases in recent times and is already breaking advance booking records.

The response at the box office has been nothing short of extraordinary. According to Sacnilk, the film has collected approximately Rs 44.25 crore from its paid previews, including block seats.



Advance bookings for the opening day have also shown impressive numbers. The film has already crossed Rs 33.60 crore in Day 1 advance sales, with more than 7 lakh tickets sold across over 17,000 shows nationwide. The strong pre-release demand has prompted theatres to add more screenings, including late-night and post-midnight shows, to accommodate eager fans.

The film’s performance is equally strong in international markets. Reports suggest that Dhurandhar 2 has recorded over Rs 75 crore in overseas pre-sales for its opening weekend. Overall, the global pre-sales have crossed Rs 153 crore, positioning the film for a record-breaking opening.

Trade analysts believe the film has the potential to cross Rs 200 crore on its opening day, including preview collections. According to HT report, if Dhurandhar 2 achieves this milestone, it will join the league of massive openers like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, RRR, and Pushpa 2: The Rule. It may also surpass the current Bollywood opening-day record set by Jawan.


Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film features a strong ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. The sequel continues the story of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a death row inmate recruited by Indian intelligence, taking forward the high-stakes narrative established in the first film.

The original Dhurandhar was a massive success, earning over Rs 1300 crore worldwide and continuing its theatrical run for over 75 days.
