With just three days to go for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, fans have already rushed to book tickets for one of the most-awaited films of the year. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is all set to hit theatres on March 19. However, apart from the excitement, it is the film’s unusually long runtime - almost four hours that has grabbed everyone’s attention, and sparked a wave of hilarious reactions online.

According to an NDTV report, Dhurandhar 2 has a runtime of 3 hours and 55 minutes, making it one of the longest mainstream Bollywood films in recent times. The demand is so high that theatres have started running round-the-clock shows, including late-night and post-midnight slots. Advance bookings on platforms like BookMyShow show screenings scheduled as late as 2:15 AM, 2:20 AM, and 2:45 AM, with multiplexes adding more shows to accommodate the rush.

Fans have been sharing funny videos and posts imagining how they would “prepare” for such a long cinematic experience. Some users joked that watching the film would feel like an overnight journey rather than a movie outing, with reels showing people packing suitcases before heading to theatres.



One particularly viral video shows creators pretending to prepare survival kits for the film, complete with blankets, pillows, bedsheets, and even extra clothes. In one video, a content creator jokingly asks audiences during the interval of the movie if they would prefer blankets and pillows instead of snacks, drawing laughter from viewers online.



Another set of memes takes the joke even further. Some fans imagined theatres ditching popcorn and nachos altogether and instead serving full meals. Overseas, the film has made history by becoming the first Indian movie to earn over $5 million in North America pre-sales.

The film also features a strong ensemble cast including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, with Akshaye Khanna expected to appear in a cameo.
