Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend shares her experience of visiting Arijit Singh’s hometown. ‘His gaon is his universe’

Romanian singer and television presenter Iulia Vantur is basking in the success of her debut short film, Echoes of Us. The movie, directed by Joe Rajan, has been honoured with several accolades across different film festivals. Besides Iulia, the cross-cultural romance drama, revolving around themes of love, loss and human connection, also stars Deepak Tijori and Alessandra Whelan Merediz in key roles. Iulia, who is rumoured to be dating Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, collaborated with Arijit Singh for the first time, lending her vocals to the track Tere Sang from the film.

Now, Iulia Vantur has opened up about her experience of working with the celebrated singer. She also recalled her delightful experience of visiting Arijit Singh’s hometown in Jiaganj, located in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. The 45-year-old, in a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, admitted that she was nervous before meeting Arijit, given his legacy. However, her apprehensions were proved to be unfounded once she met him.

Heaping praise on Arijit Singh, Iulia Vantur said that he welcomed her warmly, which instantly made her feel at ease. Calling Arijit a wonderful human being, the actress shared that there was no judgment or expectations, only genuine collaboration and mutual respect. Additionally, Iulia recalled travelling to Jiaganj, describing the ‘gaon’ as a charming, peaceful destination. She remembered driving past the small shops inside her car, watching the merchants and tailors busy with their crafts. ‘It was beautiful. It was amazing. It was very nice, actually,’ admitted Iulia.

The singer lauded the serene atmosphere, adding that the surroundings felt warm and safe. She even pointed out that Arijit Singh has transformed the town into his own universe where everyone was devoted to music, art, community and helping each other. In conclusion, Iulia Vantur expressed her gratitude for being able to join forces with Arijit for the song, calling the opportunity an honour and a privilege.

Iulia Vantur and Salman Khan have reportedly been dating for a few years now. Iulia, born in Romania, kick-started her career as a television personality. She made her maiden singing venture opposite Himesh Reshammiya in Every Night And Day. Iulia also sang several songs in Salman’s movies, including Radhe, Sultan, and Race 3. Meanwhile, Salman is awaiting the release of Battle of Galwan, a war drama inspired by the 2020 India–China clash.
