Straight out of the BAFTA Film Awards as a debut presenter, Alia Bhatt is proving that not just professional milestones but personal connections are equally meaningful to her. The actress, who welcomed daughter Raha with her husband-actor Ranbir Kapoor in 2022, has won hearts all over again with her thoughtful gesture. The recipients of her affection were none other than actress Yami Gautam and her husband-director Aditya Dhar’s 1-year-old son, Vedavid. Alia recently showered a curated hamper of adorable gifts on the toddler, weaving warmth with care.

In a now-disappeared Instagram Story, Alia Bhatt re-shared the picture of the presents, posted originally by Yami Gautam. The assortment of goodies included a cute panda plushie, babycare products like soaps, lotion, and powder, coupled with other everyday essentials. Touched by the gifts, Yami expressed her gratitude to Alia in the caption. In response, the Jigra actress sent her best wishes to the family.

Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar got married in a dreamy and traditional ceremony in Himachal Pradesh in 2021. The private wedding was attended by close friends and family members. The couple embraced parenthood in 2024.

Alia Bhatt and Yami Gautam’s friendship extends beyond gifts. Last month, Alia applauded Yami on social media for her performance in the courtroom drama Haq. The film, which revolves around a woman’s fight for rights and justice, is inspired by the real-life story of Shah Bano. Alia, in her Instagram post called Yami, the ‘queen’ of pure craft, heart and all things gold.” She admitted to admiring Yami’s character in the movie, calling herself a ‘fan’. Alia even mentioned that she was eagerly awaiting her next project.

Haq, directed by Suparn Verma, also stars Emraan Hashmi in a lead role alongside Vartika Singh, Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Husain, and Aseem Hattangady, among others. The movie is believed to be based on the landmark Supreme Court judgement of Mohd. Ahmed Khan vs Shah Bano Begum, featuring the matrimonial rights of women in Muslim households.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt, who recently grabbed attention for her speech at the 79th edition of the BAFTA Awards, will next be seen in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She is also a part of YRF’s spy-action thriller Alpha, alongside Sharvari Wagh.
