Out of shrieking winds and a city under lockdown.… emerged this mini-snowman, Anand Mahindra said.
Veteran industrialist Anand Mahindra, known for his thoughtful tweets, described a heavy blizzard in New York in a light, almost poetic way. After the storm ended, he stepped outside—like many others—to take a selfie marking that they had “survived” the Blizzard of 2026. During his walk, he noticed a small snowman someone had built. A massive snowstorm pummeled the northeastern United States from Maryland to Maine, forcing millions of people to stay home amid strong wind and blizzard warnings, transportation shutdowns, and school and business closures.

"The blizzard finally called it a day… And I confess, I couldn’t resist the temptation of joining the hordes of New Yorkers venturing out to take selfies proving they had survived the ‘Blizzard of 2026’ And on my stroll I spied this small citizen of the storm," Anand Mahindra explained in a post.

"Out of shrieking winds and a city under lockdown.… emerged this mini-snowman. Proof that even nature’s tantrums can leave behind something playful. Perhaps that’s the outcome of every storm: not just damage, but unexpected life," Mahindra Group Chairman explained.

But the snowman becomes more than just a cute sight. He uses it as a metaphor. It’s a metaphor about finding hope and positivity after adversity.

The storm represents chaos, difficulty, or tough times (“nature’s tantrums”). The small snowman represents hope, creativity, and resilience. Even after something harsh and disruptive, something joyful and unexpected can emerge. Anand Mahindra's tweet has a deeper meaning that every storm in life doesn’t just leave destruction—it can also create space for something new, playful, or meaningful. Hard times often produce resilience, beauty, or small moments of life that we don’t expect.

What is Anand Mahindra trying to say?

Anand Mahindra's message is simple: Even after something harsh and difficult (like a storm), something small, happy, and positive can come out of it. In simple terms, tough times don’t only bring damage; they can also bring hope, creativity, and new beginnings. He is saying that every “storm” — whether it’s bad weather or difficult times in life may feel chaotic and scary while it’s happening. But once it passes, it can leave behind something unexpected and positive which can help you learn a lesson in life.

The small snowman Anand Mahindra saw saw becomes a symbol. It shows that even in harsh conditions, people can create something joyful and meaningful.

So his core message is:

Difficult times don’t only cause damage.

They can also bring resilience, creativity, and hope.

After chaos, something new and positive can emerge.

Anand Mahindra's Monday motivation

Anand Mahindra shared a motivational post on Monday about women farmers rewriting the script on food security that quickly caught the attention of the netizens. Known for sharing thoughtful insights, humour and perspectives on wider life, the veteran industrialist posted under the hashtag #MondayMotivation.

In his post, Anand Mahindra wrote “ In Shravasti, U.P., nearly 30,000 women farmers are quietly rewriting the script on food security. Using regenerative agriculture practices, they’re now growing diverse, nutritious vegetables that nourish over 100,000 people daily. What began as training and inputs from @naandi_india has evolved into something far more powerful: women as confident food producers and entrepreneurs. At a Food Festival in Hariharpur Rani village, we celebrated multiple successful growing seasons. Awards were given, but the real highlight? The tasting table. Fresh carrots, beets, mint chutneys, bursting with flavour. Proof that when soil is respected, nutrition and livelihoods flourish together. My compliments to @manoj_naandi & his team, especially Anupama and Astha Singh, for leading this transformation on the ground. For being pioneers and enthusiastically adopting new practices, these intrepid women farmers are my #MondayMotivation”.
