After a series of delays, the inauguration of the Noida International Airport is not set for a March deadline, as Jewar awaits one of India's biggest airports. The long-overdue project will now have five runways, from the earlier planned two runways.

During a recent press conference, the chief minister had said that the Noida International Airport is almost ready and time has been sought from the prime minister for its inauguration.
Earlier in February, the UP government proposed an outlay of Rs 2,111 crore for the civil aviation sector in the 2026-27. Of the total allocation, Rs 750 crore has been allocated for the development of the Noida International Airport in the Jewar area of Gautam Buddha Nagar district.
The first phase of the international airport is being jointly developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, for the state government in a public-private partnership model.
The airport recorded a major milestone on October 31, 2025 with the successful landing of the first calibration flight by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), officials said.
This crucial testis conducted before any new airport becomes operational to verify the accuracy of the airport's navigation and communication systems.
Yogi Adityanath's visit to Singapore
Uttar Pradesh CM is on an official visit to Singapore, wherein he met several industrialists and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.He also met Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan and held discussions on strengthening Uttar Pradesh-Singapore cooperation under the international partnership, with focus on investment facilitation, infrastructure collaboration, skill development and digital economy partnerships.
Adityanath met Sumit Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, Golden State Capital Pte. Ltd. to discuss investment prospects in infrastructure, emerging technologies and strategic growth sectors in Uttar Pradesh, including opportunities in data centre development and other priority investment corridors where the company had previously expressed commitment to invest.
He witnessed the signing of MoUs in group housing, logistics and data centres in Uttar Pradesh during his meeting with Prasoon Mukherjee, Chairman & Founder, Universal Success Enterprises Limited (USEL). The signed projects include an integrated township, a logistics park and a hyperscale data centre park, which are expected to generate substantial employment opportunities and strengthen UP’s infrastructure ecosystem.
Another key moment was the signing of MoUs for collaboration in technical and vocational education, aviation skills and industry-aligned training.
The chief minister held a meeting with Tan Su Shan, CEO of DBS Group to discuss strengthening financial cooperation, facilitating project financing and supporting investment flows into infrastructure and growth sectors in the state. Other key meetings included key discussions held with Lim Chow Kiat, CEO of GIC and Teo Chee Hean, Chairman of Temasek.
