Anand Mahindra was amazed at this Physics teacher using Bernoulli's principle in real life, wishes his school made science this 'exciting'
Industrialist Anand Mahindra has once again captured the internet's attention by sharing a viral video of a science teacher demonstrating Bernoulli’s Principle in a way that makes textbooks look dull. The video features a teacher struggling to inf...

Practical Hacks with 'Bernoulli's Principle'
This isn't just a classroom stunt; the teacher explains that this principle is a literal lifesaver. Firefighters use this exact technique, known as "Positive Pressure Ventilation," to clear smoke out of buildings. Instead of placing a high-powered fan flush against a door, they pull it back slightly. This creates a powerful jet that entrains the surrounding air, moving a much larger volume of smoke out of the structure. For those enduring hot summer days, the same logic applies to cooling your room. If you want to use an exhaust fan or a pedestal fan to push hot air out of a window, the teacher suggests placing the fan a few feet back from the opening rather than directly against it. This allows the fan to pull the heavy, hot air from the corners of the room into the stream, ventilating the space much more efficiently than a fan placed right on the sill.

Anand Mahindra on the Impact of AI on Education
Sharing the video with his millions of followers, Anand Mahindra reminisced about his own school days, wishing his teachers had been as "animated and creative". He noted that when taught this way, complex concepts like Bernoulli’s Principle stop being something students have to "mug up" (memorize blindly) and instead become exciting tools for understanding the world. His takeaway was, even as AI tools become capable of explaining any concept, the ability of a human to inspire through creative storytelling and demonstration will always remain a premium skill. The Economic Times Business News App for the Latest News in Business, Sensex, Stock Market Updates & More.
