Actor Rajpal Yadav is now in Tihar Jail
Rajpal Yadav once playfully reflected on the length of his journey in cinema, suggesting that his association with films is far from over. During the early years of the 2000s, his popularity soared to such an extent that he committed to as many as sixteen projects within a single month. Even after decades in the industry, his enthusiasm for acting has not diminished. He continues to express an unquenched desire to perform, jokingly telling a fellow actor that he intends to share the screen not only with him but also with the next generation of his family.

The Turning Point After Jungle

While promoting Coolie No. 1 in 2020, Rajpal revisited a transformative phase in his career. Following the success of Jungle, opportunities poured in at an overwhelming pace. He recalled how swiftly circumstances shifted, with filmmakers approaching him one after another. Rather than hesitating, he embraced every offer with eagerness, determined to make the most of the momentum that had come his way.

He also recounted an incident from the film Chor Machaaye Shor. Director David Dhawan had approached him for a brief role, possibly anticipating reluctance due to its limited screen time. However, Rajpal immediately agreed. The deciding factor was the presence of Amitabh Bachchan in the particular scene. For Rajpal, even a fleeting appearance alongside the legendary actor held immense value, and he was prepared to participate regardless of how small the part might have been.

Industry Support Amid Legal Troubles

In a lighter exchange with Varun Dhawan, Rajpal once responded humorously when Varun admitted that he often forgot Rajpal’s seniority in the profession. Rajpal quipped that he would continue acting long enough to collaborate with Varun’s future children while remaining unchanged in spirit.

Recently, however, attention shifted from his wit to a legal issue dating back several years. After surrendering at Tihar Jail in connection with a long-pending cheque bounce case, Rajpal began receiving public backing from members of the film fraternity. Actors Sonu Sood and Gurmeet Chaudhary were among the earliest to voice their encouragement, urging others to extend assistance. Soon after, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees appealed to the industry to stand beside him during this challenging period. Their involvement amplified calls for solidarity, highlighting how swiftly colleagues unite when one of their own faces adversity.
