French President Emmanuel Macron to visit India from Feb 17–19 for AI Impact Summit
French President Emmanuel Macron is flying to India next week to take the AI baton from Paris to New Delhi, continuing the tech talks he co-chaired with Prime Minister Modi at last year’s global AI summit.
"Let's finally look at what we have managed to achieve together, the successes of French diplomacy last year --the Artificial Intelligence summit. The whole world came to Paris. We made progress on this and we co-chaired it with Prime Minister Modi and next month, I'll be in India to follow up," Macron had said earlier.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that during the visit, both leaders will engage in discussions to strengthen bilateral cooperation across a broad range of areas outlined in the Horizon 2047 Roadmap. "In addition, the leaders will discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific," it said.
"The two leaders will also be in Mumbai to jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation, which will be celebrated throughout 2026 in both countries. On 19 February, President Macron will participate in the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi," it added.
The India-AI Impact Summit is expected to highlight cutting-edge technological innovations, foster international partnerships, and chart the next steps in AI-driven growth. Macron’s visit signals France’s commitment to deepening Indo-French ties in technology, innovation, and strategic cooperation, while also ensuring that last year’s Paris momentum translates into tangible outcomes in India.
