Salman Khan's old friend says he used to shout while standing at ex-girlfriend's house
One of Hindi cinema’s most talked-about off-screen bonds is the long-standing friendship between Salman Khan and veteran performer Raju Shrestha, widely known as Master Raju. Their relationship goes back decades, rooted in shared childhood memories from Mumbai’s Bandra neighbourhood, long before stardom entered the picture.

In a recent interaction with interviewer Siddharth Kannan, Raju opened up about his personal experiences with the Dabangg actor, offering a glimpse into Salman’s personality beyond the glare of fame.

During the conversation, Raju explained that his association with Salman began years before they appeared together on screen. He recalled knowing Salman well ahead of their professional collaboration and emphasized that they both grew up in the same locality. Bandra, according to him, was the backdrop for many simple, carefree moments they shared as youngsters. Raju fondly described how the two would spend time cycling together, long before Salman became a leading man in Bollywood.

He went on to recount a specific memory from the early phase of Salman’s career. While Salman was preparing for one of his initial films, he would regularly practice skating at Bandstand. Raju remembered accompanying him on his bicycle, with Salman holding onto the rear carrier to steady himself as he trained. These anecdotes painted a picture of a future superstar who was still deeply connected to his childhood habits and friendships.

Raju also spoke candidly about Salman’s emotional nature. He acknowledged that the actor has, at times, behaved impulsively and acted inappropriately in personal relationships, including instances involving women. However, he attempted to contextualize this behavior by describing Salman as someone who is driven by raw emotion rather than calculated thought. According to Raju, Salman has often struggled to restrain his feelings, which has occasionally led to public outbursts and confrontations.

“Salman has never had control over his emotions. Sometimes he would go and hurl abuses while standing under somebody’s building. He shouted while standing under his ex-girlfriend’s building." he said.

Despite these flaws, Raju defended his longtime friend, portraying him as a fundamentally kind and gentle individual. He stressed that Salman’s actions stem from an overly emotional heart rather than malice or manipulation. While Raju did not specify particular episodes, his remarks echoed widely reported incidents from the actor’s past, especially those linked to turbulent romantic relationships in the early 2000s. Overall, Raju’s reflections offered a layered portrait of Salman Khan—imperfect, emotional, but deeply sincere at his core.
