Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal has an NFL tip for BCCI: 'Next IPL season better come with...'
OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal was impressed by the NFL's Bad Bunny halftime show, suggesting the IPL incorporate reggaeton. While the Super Bowl's cultural spectacle garnered massive viewership, the IPL final alone surpassed it, highlighting the Indi...

Posting on X, Agarwal said the energy inside the stadium was electric as Bad Bunny took over the halftime stage.
“I came for @seahawksPR vs @Patriots, stayed for the Bad Bunny halftime fiesta. These NFL guys don’t just run, they launch. I’m over here comparing it to cricket like a confused math student. Then Bad Bunny shows up with Spanish hits, and the whole stadium dances,” he wrote.
Inspired, Agarwal added a cheeky line for Indian cricket: “Next IPL season better come with reggaeton too!”
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance was a full-throttle celebration of Puerto Rico—from Spanish-language lyrics to set pieces featuring sugarcane and his salmon-coloured ‘La Casita’. The crowd roared at every cultural callback. He also made history as the first Super Bowl headliner to perform entirely in Spanish, just a week after becoming the first artist to win a Grammy Album of the Year for a Spanish-language record.
Actors Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba, along with rapper Cardi B, joined the vibe on stage, amplifying the Puerto Rico homage.
Yet, by sheer scale, the Indian Premier League still plays in a different league: the IPL 2025 final alone reportedly clocked around 300 million viewers across TV and digital—comfortably outpacing last year’s Super Bowl numbers. The 19th Indian Premier League will be held from March 26 to May 31.
