Malayalam actor Kannan Pattambi cause of death: Mohanlal’s co-star dies, his brother Major Ravi pays tribute

Kannan Pattambi, a well-known production controller and actor in Malayalam cinema, passed away late Sunday night, leaving the film industry in mourning. He was active in cinema for nearly three decades, balancing work behind the scenes with memorable on-screen appearances. The actor breathed his last at around 11:41 pm on January 4 at his residence in Nyangattiri, Palakkad.

The news was confirmed by his elder brother, actor-director Major Ravi, through a Facebook post. In an emotional message, Major Ravi shared that his younger brother, who worked extensively as a film production controller, passed away late at night. He also informed that the funeral would be held at 4 pm on Monday at their residence premises in Nyangattiri, Pattambi.



Kannan Pattambi was known for his dual contribution to cinema, as an actor and as a key member of the production team. While he often stayed away from the spotlight, his work played an important role in the smooth execution of several major projects. As an actor, he appeared in around 23 Malayalam films, many of them high-profile productions featuring leading stars, including Mohanlal.
