The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled a busy home international schedule for the 2026 season, with the national side set to host four Tests, 12 one-day internationals and nine Twenty20 matches across multiple series.

The neighbouring country will host India for three-match ODI series and as many T20Is in August-September 2026, Cricbuzz reported citing a confirmation from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

"The series that was postponed earlier between Bangladesh and India has been rescheduled," Shahriar Nafees, BCB cricket operation in-charge told Cricbuzz.

The news comes as tensions escalate between the two countries as the Shah-Rukh Khan backed Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) selected Bangladeshi international, Mustafizur Rahman, in their squad for the IPL 2026 season. The decision by the three-time IPL champions has been receiving severe backlash with the spectre of boycotts, and even violence hanging over it. Kolkata acquired right-arm pacer Mustafizur for a massive amount of Rs 9.20 crore during the IPL auction.

KKR’s signing of Mustafizur Rahman has drawn backlash on social media amid political and communal tensions involving Bangladesh and souring ties with India.

Bangladesh’s home campaign will get underway in March, following the men’s T20 World Cup, with Pakistan touring for a three-match ODI series. Pakistan will return in May for a two-Test series, which will form part of the World Test Championship (WTC).

New Zealand are scheduled to tour in April–May for a white-ball assignment comprising three ODIs and three T20Is. The calendar then features high-profile visits from Australia in June and India in August and September.
