Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis lays foundation for Rs 1,468-crore educational and medical complex in Gadchiroli

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis laid the foundation stone for a Rs 1,468-crore Educational and Medical Complex at Rajeshwarpalli in Sironcha taluka of Gadchiroli district. The project, spread across 264 acres, aims to transform healthcare and education facilities in the state’s southernmost region, which borders Telangana and Chhattisgarh.

The complex will include a 350-bed multispecialty hospital, a medical college, and professional education institutes in engineering, dentistry, and nursing. The management of the facility will be handled by Ruby Hospital and Wellness Pvt. Ltd.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said, “This foundation stone laying marks the dawn of inclusive development, ensuring healthcare, education, and employment reach even the remotest geographies of Maharashtra.”


Gadchiroli, once known for its Naxal-related challenges, is witnessing renewed focus on growth and connectivity. The new facility is expected to provide better healthcare and education not just for Gadchiroli but also for adjoining regions of Telangana and Chhattisgarh.

Residents have long depended on cities like Nagpur, Hyderabad, Pune, and Mumbai for advanced medical treatment and higher education. The new project is expected to reduce that dependency and promote local opportunities.

Fadnavis also announced Gadchiroli’s emergence as a Green Steel Hub, highlighting the government’s broader plan to integrate the district into Maharashtra’s mainstream development.

Rana Suryawanshi, Director of Rana Shipping Company and noted industrialist and philanthropist, expressed appreciation for the government’s support. “It is a matter of pride to witness the rise of such a modern, world-class facility in Sironcha. We remain steadfast in our commitment to the district’s long-term progress,” he said.
