Shah Rukh Khan to not greet fans at 'Mannat' on his birthday this year, superstar reveals reason

Shah Rukh Khan, who turns 60 years, on Sunday said that he will not be meeting his fans at his home, 'Mannat' this year following advice from authorities.

In a post on X, Shah Rukh said, "Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me.

My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues.


Thank you for understanding and believe me… I will miss seeing you more than you will. Was looking forward to seeing you all and sharing love. Love u all…"

Thousands of fans from across the world had arrived in Mumbai to celebrate the milestone birthday of the superstar. Mannat, Shah Rukh’s iconic sea-facing residence, is currently under renovation and the family has temporarily relocated, but that had not stopped his fans.

They have gathered outside the bungalow — waving flags, singing his film songs, and holding up giant posters in a festival-like atmosphere.

Shah Rukh Khan announces 'King'

Shah Rukh Khan, on his birthday, announced the title of his next film, 'King', which is set to release in 2026.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, who has previously collaborated with Shah Rukh in 2023 with blockbuster "Pathaan", the upcoming film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.

The announcement was made on the occasion of Shah Rukh's 60th birthday, along with the title reveal video, featuring the actor in a new avatar sporting a silver-haircut. It also had glimpses of him performing the action sequences.

Production banner shared the video on its official Instagram handle. "Sau deshon mein badnaam, Duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam-#KING. #KingTitleReveal. It's Showtime! In cinemas 2026," read the caption.

Described as a "slick, high-octane action entertainer that redefines style, charisma, and thrills," the film also features Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Shah Rukh and Padukone have collaborated on films such as "Om Shanti Om", "Chennai Express", "Pathaan" and their latest film together "Jawan", which released in 2023.

The actor last appeared in Rajkumar Hirani's directorial "Dunki" alongside Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani. The film, which released in 2023, revolved around illegal migration.
