New Delhi: Congress parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday called on visiting Mauritian Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam and discussed the "enduring friendship" that binds India and Mauritius.

Sources said the trajectory of bilateral ties and deepening partnership between the two countries was discussed during the meeting.

Posting pictures from the meeting, Rahul Gandhi said in a post on his WhatsApp channel, "We spoke about the deep and enduring friendship that binds our two nations and peoples." Ramgoolam is on a state visit to India from September 9 to 16.
