Oracle boss Larry Ellison survived a much publicized sexual harassment case three decades ago. This happened after an administrative assistant at Oracle sued the Ellison's company in 1993 citing she was fired by the firm for rejecting objectionable offer from Ellison. She also claimed that she and Ellison were in a relationship.

However, in a relief for Larry Ellison a court had found the woman guilty of forging the email document to support her claim. She was then sentenced to one year imprisonment and pay $100,000 that was paid to her in an out of court settlement.

Washington Post reported that the "executive assistant" was 20 years junior to Larry Ellison.

At present, the co-founder of Oracle keeps a very minimal public profile. Known for his yacht races, private Hawaiian island and flamboyance, Ellison's namesake charitable foundation spent tens of millions of dollars focused on infectious disease research, then suddenly cut off the spigot of funding one day in 2005. Around that time, he also spent a year in a public spat with Harvard University over a $115 million donation he pledged to the school for a new health institute, before eventually retracting it.

In 2013, he made a similar about-face on life-extension research. Ellison, who has said that death "never made any sense" to him, gave several hundred million dollars to the field, before one day deciding to cease all funding.

He restarted his foundation in 2018, this time in the United Kingdom. He hired aggressively, renamed the philanthropy and made promises. But only three years later, he shut it all down. What's left of the foundation nowadays is funneling hundreds of millions of dollars to a think tank led by Blair, according to U.S. tax records.

By that fall, in November 2021, Ellison had started incorporating documents for yet another chance at building his legacy -- the Ellison Institute.
