For the unversed, the story of Kannappa follows Thinna, a tribal hunter who begins his journey as an atheist. His life takes a dramatic turn when he falls in love with a village chief's daughter, played by Preity Mukundhan. This emotional connection, along with spiritual revelations, leads him down a path of inner awakening. Inspired by the origins of the historic Sri Kalahasti temple, the film portrays Thinna’s ultimate act of devotion to Lord Shiva.
