The Malayalam film industry is witnessing the reunion of veteran director Sathyan Anthikad and superstar Mohanlal in Hridayapoorvam, nearly a decade after their last collaboration. The family entertainer, which also stars Malavika Mohanan in a lead role, finally arrived in theatres today, August 28, 2025. The film opened on a good note, receiving positive reviews from the audience.

Sathyan Anthikad and Mohanlal are a legendary duo known for delivering timeless Malayalam classics. Their earlier films such as T.P. Balagopalan M.A., Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam, and Rasathanthram continue to be cherished by fans. The performances are convincing, the narrative flows smoothly, and both the background music and visuals are perfectly aligned with the film’s tone. A solid watch that’s definitely worth recommending. Gave it a 3.5 stars.
