Aamir Khan controversy: Faissal Khan drops bombshell claim about brother having a child out of extramarital affair

Actor Faissal Khan, younger brother of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, has reignited controversy by publicly accusing his brother of having an affair while married to his first wife, Reena Dutta. At a recent press conference in Mumbai, Faissal alleged that Aamir had an affair with British journalist Jessica Hines and fathered a child out of wedlock during that period.

According to Faissal, these allegations were first written by him in a personal letter to his family when he was being pressured into marriage. He explained that his frustration with their demands led him to highlight what he described as the shortcomings in the personal lives of his family members, including Aamir. He claimed that while his brother was still living with filmmaker Kiran Rao, who later became his second wife, he had already been involved with Hines.

Press Conference and Past Claims

During the press meet, Faissal said that his intention was not to shock but to present what he considered the truth. He admitted that his tone at the time may have been harsh, but insisted that honesty often sounds bitter. He also alleged that his family responded to his revelations by labelling him “mentally unstable” and sidelining him, which he called an outcome of family politics.


This is not the first time Faissal has raised concerns about his treatment within the household. In earlier statements, he had claimed that he was forcibly confined at home and administered medication without consent, effectively leaving him under house arrest for a year after a nursing home stay.

On August 16, Faissal made his decision official through a public notice and a social media post, declaring that he has severed all ties with his family. He described this step as a difficult but necessary choice for his personal healing and growth. He also confirmed that he had renounced any financial or residential claims on his late parents’ estate and had chosen to start afresh with “freedom, dignity, and self-discovery.”

Family’s Response to Earlier Allegations

Following Faissal’s earlier remarks in a Pinkvilla interview, Aamir Khan’s extended family released a joint statement expressing disappointment over what they described as hurtful and misleading portrayals. The statement was signed by several members, including Aamir’s ex-wife Reena Dutta, children Junaid and Ira, filmmaker Mansoor Khan, Kiran Rao, Imran Khan, and others.

The family clarified that every decision regarding Faissal had been taken collectively and in consultation with medical professionals, with the intention of safeguarding his well-being. They further stated that they had refrained from publicly discussing these painful matters until now, but felt compelled to respond given the seriousness of his claims.
