Interested individuals can apply by submitting a three-minute video, up to 50MB, via the casting portal (bb7.jiohotstar.com). To be eligible, applicants must follow Asianet and MyG on Instagram and explain why they deserve a place in the Bigg Boss house.

The show began including non-celebrities starting with Season 5, which featured Gopika Gopi. Season 6 also saw commoner entries like Nandana, Nishana N, and Resmin Bai, a move that has added diversity and unpredictability to the show. The trend will continue into Season 7, as the interview process for new participants is currently underway.
