In the video, several women can be seen boarding a moving local train. Despite the train gradually picking up speed, they continue to push their way in, with some even slipping in the process. While this is a common sight for many in Mumbai, the video has reignited a long-standing debate on infrastructure and quality of life.
Some users said this was not about the "spirit" of Mumbai, but about helplessness. One person commented, “It’s survival... not spirit. Expecting even basic dignity in public transport is a struggle in this country.”
Another wrote, “Because the Indian state historically failed to create several economic and industrial centres across the nation, Mumbai faces this enormous strain. Ye desh Ram bharose hi chal raha hai.”
Others agreed, pointing out that such situations should not be romanticised. “It’s not the spirit of Mumbai! It’s the lack of development. Big hopes from the current government,” said another user.
