The breakup of Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor remains a topic of fascination in Bollywood. Neetu Kapoor hinted at possible issues during their relationship, suggesting Ranbir may not have felt like himself. Deepika shared her struggles post-br...

Interestingly, Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, once offered a rare glimpse into what may have gone wrong. During an appearance on India’s Most Desirable, a chat show hosted by Simi Garewal, Neetu virtually joined Ranbir for an episode where she candidly spoke about her son’s relationship history. She hinted that Ranbir may not have felt like himself during his time with Deepika, suggesting that something essential might have been missing in their equation. She also mentioned that people move on when things don’t work out—and perhaps this was just one of those cases.
In the same episode, Neetu Kapoor shared that while she wouldn't directly tell her son whom to marry or not marry, she would still express her opinion if she felt something was off about the girl. Speaking about the kind of daughter-in-law she envisioned for her son, Neetu explained that there are two types of girls—one who disrupts family unity and another who helps strengthen it. She hoped for someone who would bring the family together and nurture strong bonds.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone once opened up about her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor on Koffee with Karan. She shared that the end of the relationship was extremely difficult for her, as it had become the center of her world. Being new to the city at the time, she had embraced his friends and his life as her own, without building an individual space for herself. The experience, though painful, turned out to be a major learning curve and played a significant role in shaping the person she is today.

Since their breakup, both Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have moved on and embraced new beginnings. Ranbir is now married to Alia Bhatt, and the couple recently welcomed their daughter, Raha. Deepika found her forever with Ranveer Singh, and the two are now proud parents to a baby girl named Dua.
