Hurun Global Rich List 2025: HCL's Roshni Nadar becomes fifth richest woman globally, first Indian woman in Top 10

Roshni Nadar, Chairperson of HCL Technologies, has secured a position among the world’s wealthiest women, ranking fifth in the Hurun Global Rich List 2025 with a net worth of Rs 3.5 lakh crore, as per the Hurun Global Rich List 2025.

She is also the first Indian woman to break into the global top 10 wealthiest women, according to the report.

Her rise in rankings follows a strategic succession move by her father, Shiv Nadar, who transferred a 47% stake in HCL Technologies to her. This move makes her the only woman in India’s Top 10 wealthiest individuals.

Roshni Nadar, known for her leadership in HCL and philanthropic initiatives, has been at the helm of the IT giant since 2020.

With this achievement, she joins an elite global league of businesswomen on both, national and global levels.

Who is Roshni Nadar Malhotra?

Born in 1982, Roshni Nadar Malhotra has been leading HCL Technologies since 2020. She holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from Northwestern University, Illinois, USA, and later pursued an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.

She serves on multiple global advisory boards, including the Dean’s Advisory Council at MIT School of Engineering and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). She is also a board member of The Nature Conservancy (TNC), reflecting her commitment to environmental sustainability.

Roshni Nadar is married to Shikhar Malhotra, Vice Chairman of HCL Healthcare.

Beyond corporate leadership, Roshni Nadar Malhotra is deeply involved in philanthropy through the Shiv Nadar Foundation, which focuses on education and social transformation.
