The much-anticipated Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and starring Mohanlal, was released on March 27. He debuted in The Fast and the Furious (2001) as Johnny Tran and later gained recognition for his role as Zao in Die Another Day. He has portrayed multiple antagonist roles, including Kang Yeon-Sak in Olympus Has Fallen, a North Korean ultra-nationalist mastermind behind an attack on the White House.
