Bill Gates has embarked on his third trip to India within a span of three years, this time to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Gates Foundation. The Microsoft co-founder has been engaging with prominent figures from diverse fields, including a notable meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Throughout his visit, he has been actively sharing glimpses of his experiences in India via Instagram, and one particular post has caught the attention of social media users.

The clip features Gates indulging in the beloved Indian street snack, vada pav—an iconic dish that secured a spot on the list of the world’s finest sandwiches in 2024. However, Gates is not savoring the delicacy by himself; he is seen sharing the meal with legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

Captioning the video, Gates wrote, “A quick snack before diving into work.” The footage shows both Gates and Tendulkar dressed casually, seated on a bench while relishing the flavorful street food. The video also includes a playful on-screen text that reads, “Serving soon.”


Soon after being uploaded, the clip gained rapid traction, becoming a viral sensation across social media platforms. It garnered an overwhelming number of likes, with notable figures such as Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan among those who reacted to the post.

Reflecting on his journey in India, Gates expressed his admiration for the country’s ingenuity in a blog post shared by ANI. “I left with fresh insights, as India is teeming with intelligent, ambitious individuals who are addressing some of the world’s toughest challenges in innovative ways,” he wrote.

During a previous visit to Mumbai in 2023, the billionaire philanthropist had an opportunity to meet the cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar and his wife, Anjali Tendulkar. Following their interaction, Tendulkar took to X (formerly Twitter) to describe the meeting as an “enriching experience” that provided valuable perspectives on philanthropy. In response, Gates commended Tendulkar’s contributions to children’s healthcare, stating, “I truly enjoyed learning about your initiatives in pediatric health. I’m hopeful that by joining forces, we can achieve a century of progress!”
