Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s short-lived marriage to Naga Chaitanya has become the talk of the town again as the actor gears up to exchange vows for the second time with actress Sobhita Dhulipala. However, so far the ‘Majili’ star has refrained from talking about her former husband.

But in a recent media interaction, the actress reflected on some rather “usless” presents she received from an ex. Although she did not mention a name, it did trigger speculations that the statement may have been a not-too-subtle dig against her ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ hero.

Amazon Prime Video recently delighted fans with a lighthearted chat session featuring Samantha and Varun, highlighting their playful rapport. During the exchange, Varun mischievously asked Samantha, “What’s the most outrageous amount of money you’ve spent on something completely useless?” With quick wit, Samantha responded, “My ex’s expensive gifts.” Surprised, Varun pressed on, asking, “How much are we talking about?” Samantha calmly replied, “Quite a bit.”


Her candid comment quickly made waves online, igniting a flurry of reactions. Samantha, who is typically reserved when it comes to discussing her past relationship with Naga Chaitanya, surprised many with her forthrightness. The comment has sparked curiosity about how Naga Chaitanya might respond, while some of his fans have criticized Samantha for her statement.

On the work front, Samantha recently appeared in the action thriller web series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’. Directed by Raj & DK, the web series features her opposite Bollywood star Varun Dhawan. The series is a spinoff of the American web series 'Citadel,’ which starred Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden.
