Virat Kohli's post gives fans a scare; speculations of divorce with Anushka Sharma, retirement surface

Cricketer Virat Kohli unintentionally created a frenzy on social media by sharing a post that many users misunderstood as a divorce announcement.

It did not help that the post came at a time when the people of the country are shocked with AR Rahman's separation with wife Saira Banu after almost 30 years together.



Kohli's post that was shared online led many to believe he too was sharing an announcement pertaining to his marriage with actress Anushka Sharma.

The former Indian captain posted on his handle a note that began with the words, "Looking back, we've always been a bit different."


It went on to read, "We never fitted into any box they tried putting us in. Two misfits, who just clicked We've changed over the years, but always done things our way."

"Some called us crazy; others didn't get it. But honestly? We didn't care. We were busy figuring out who we are. Then years of ups and downs, and even the pandemic couldn't shake us. If anything, it reminded us - being different is our strength," he said and then proceeded to speak about his brand Wrogn.
