Telegram's Durov was unaware of French arrest warrant, probe not linked with US, prosecutor source says

Telegram chief Pavel Durov was not informed about the arrest warrant that awaited him in France, a source at the Paris prosecutor's office told Reuters on Thursday, adding that the French investigation had no connection with the United States.

Neither French President Emmanuel Macron nor France's foreign ministry were given prior warning of his arrest, the source added.
