Who is ‘Stree’s new neighbour? Shraddha Kapoor has a new home

It seems that ‘Stree’ has a new address! Shraddha Kapoor, who is currently enjoying the success of her recent release ‘Stree 2’, will soon become neighbour to Akshay Kumar. Kapoor has reportedly leased Hrithik Roshan’s current residence, a sea-view flat located in Juhu. Akshay Kumar, who made an unforgettable guest appearance as Sarkata's descendant in Stree 2, resides in an opulent duplex in the same building where Shraddha is set to move.

This means Shraddha will now be neighbors with Akshay, his writer wife, Twinkle Khanna, and their children. Previously, reports suggested Varun Dhawan would be moving into Hrithik’s apartment along with his wife, Natasha Dalal, and their newborn daughter. However, it seems the agreement between Varun and the property owner fell through.

A Look At ‘Stree 2’s BO Performance

Since its release, ‘Stree 2’ (also titled ‘Sarkate Ka Aatank’) has gone from strength to strength at the box-office. The horror comedy has collected a whopping Rs 416.39 crore two weeks after its theatrical release, according to a report shared by box-office tracking portal Scanilk.com. As of today, ‘Stree 2’ is the second highest-grossing Indian movie of 2024.

‘Stree 2’ is the sequel to the 2018 hit ‘Stree’. Like its predecessor, it takes place in the sleepy town of Chanderi, which is haunted by a menacing headless apparition called ‘Sarkata’.

Although the name of Shraddha Kapoor’s character was not divulged, it was revealed that she is the daughter of Stree (a vengeful spirit).

Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee resume their roles in the sequel.

‘Stree 3’ In The Works

Director Amar Kaushik has already announced ‘Stree 3’, and there have even been whispers about a solo film focused on Shraddha’s character. Last, but not the least, Shraddha has reportedly been roped in to star opposite Hrithik in 'Krrish 4'. Let's stay tuned to see how things unfold!
