Bollywood singer Arijit Singh recently found himself in an amusing yet gracious moment at a musical concert in Dubai. The incident unfolded when Singh, known for his soulful renditions, failed to recognize Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, despite having sung for her in the past. The video of this endearing exchange has since gone viral, showcasing both Singh's humility and Khan's grace.
Singh's realization unfolds with a touch of irony as he recalls singing Khan's song 'Zaalima' from the film 'Raees,' where she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. "Think about it, I was singing her song 'Zaalima,' and it’s her song, and she was singing too, and I couldn’t recognize her. I am so sorry, ma'am. Gratitude and thank you so much," Singh concludes, his genuine apology met with Khan's understanding gesture as she shouts, "It's okay" from the crowd, acknowledging his heartfelt words.
