The Women's Premiere League (WPL) is all set to commence from Friday with the previous season's champions, Mumbai Indians taking up on Delhi Capitals in the tournament opener at the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Before kicking off the season, there will be lavish opening ceremony which will see Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan aka King Khan perform. The actor will also be accompanied by several celebrities including Shahid Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Karthik Aryan, Varun Dhawan, and Tiger Shroff.

After spending the entire inaugural season in two different locations, Mumbai will no longer host the WPL 2024 tournament. The competition will initially be held in Bengaluru, but after a few league stage matches, the eliminator, and the championship game will be held in Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
