Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday joined hands with GB news to work as a presenter where he will cover elections in UK and US among other issues.

Johnson will work for the news channel as a presenter, programme maker and commentator.


GB news has confirmed the news of former UK PM joining the channel. Johnson will be actively covering UK and US elections next year and will host a series ‘showcasing the power of Britain around the world.

Taking to social media, former UK PM announced his plans of joining the news channel as a presenter.

In a statement, he added: "I will be talking about the immense opportunities for Global Britain - as well as the challenges - and why our best days are yet to come."

"I’m excited to say I’m shortly going to be joining you on GB News. And I’m going to be giving this remarkable new TV channel my unvarnished views on everything from Russia, China, the war in Ukraine — how we meet all those challenges — to the huge opportunities that lie ahead for us. So join me on GB News for some great British television,” said Johnson in a video message.

Apart from being a news presenter, he has also been writing columns for Daily Mail.

Along with Johnson, former Business Secretary Jacob Rees-Mogg, party deputy chairman Lee Anderson, and husband-and-wife MPs Esther McVey and Philip Davies all have entered the arena of news.

Covid Inquiry

Recently, Johnson was embroiled in the Covid inquiry where his WhatsApp messages were investigated.

George Osborne, former Conservative chancellor who saw the messages said that the interaction between former UK PM and top advisers including Dominic Cummings was “shocking”.

He said that the messages were “disgusting” and “misogynistic.”
