Telangana campus to support up to 1,600 MW IT load; investment could reach Rs 1 lakh cr

Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Fortune Hospitality and Infra has announced plans to develop a hyperscale artificial intelligence data centre park in Telangana with an initial investment of ₹60,000 crore, generating about 1,000 direct and 3,000-4,000 indirect jobs.

According to company documents, the proposed Fortune Data Center Park will come up on about 170 acres in Kandukur Mandal of Ranga Reddy district, within the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region. At full build-out, cumulative investment could rise to ₹1 lakh crore as additional phases and operator infrastructure are commissioned, the company said.

The campus will support 1,200-1,600 MW of IT load through four independently operable hyperscale modules. Each module could accommodate up to 400 MW for AI, cloud, colocation and high-performance computing workloads. The project is being developed by Fortune Hospitality & Infra LLP through its special purpose vehicle, Sudeeksha Estates LLP, in partnership with global data-centre operators and hyperscalers.

The project will be developed in phases. A TGTRANSCO letter dated June 27, 2026, provides for a provisional 2,000 MVA power allocation, with 400 MVA scheduled for December 2027. The project is expected to receive its full 2,000 MVA requirement by December 2034, according to the provisional schedule.

The announcement comes days after TCS subsidiary HyperVault announced plans for a large-scale AI data centre campus in Hyderabad with an investment of up to ₹70,000 crore.
