ET AI Hackathon: Agentic Edition - Accenture joins The Economic Times to champion the next generation of AI innovators

The next question for AI is not what it can generate, but what it can do. AI systems are increasingly moving beyond answering prompts to handling multiple steps, making decisions within defined parameters, and working towards an identified outcome. For businesses, the shift creates new opportunities to improve workflows and solve complex problems at scale. At the same time, it elevates the role of people – who bring the judgment, domain expertise, creativity, and accountability needed to design, build, guide, and govern these systems.

The hackathon brings together experienced AI professionals to develop Agentic AI solutions for enterprise challenges.

Going beyond a conventional coding competition, participants will need to define the problem clearly, demonstrate how their AI agent reasons and acts, and consider how it interacts with people and other systems. Success will require both technical capability and a strong understanding of the business context in which the solution will operate.


Accenture joins the initiative as Presenting Partner as organisations increasingly explore how agentic AI reshapes modern workflow. This partnership brings an industry perspective to a platform focused on professionals who are building and experimenting with these technologies.

The hackathon is open to professionals with at least three years of experience in AI, machine learning, product development, solution design, architecture, consulting or related technology roles. Participants will work on enterprise-focused challenges, learn from industry experts, and showcase their solutions to Accenture leaders and other industry experts.

The competition features a ₹2 lakh prize pool, with ₹1 lakh for the Grand Champion, ₹60,000 for the First Runner Up, and ₹40,000 for the Second Runner Up. Select eligible participants will also be invited to interview for career opportunities with Accenture.

Agentic AI introduces a new level of complexity. Enabling systems to take action requires careful thinking about their goals, guard rails, decision making, and interactions with people. The strongest solutions will need to demonstrate not only what an AI agent can do, but also how it can do it reliably and usefully in an enterprise environment.
