Kolkata: CurvetAI, an AI workspace that brings multiple AI capabilities onto a single platform, has raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Merak Ventures, as the growing number of AI products leaves users navigating an increasingly fragmented ecosystem.

The Pune-based startup, founded in December 2025 by Vivek Dubey and Utkarsh Gupta, said it has crossed 100,000 monthly users globally, with India and the US emerging as its largest markets. The company has also started generating revenue.

The round also saw participation from a group of angel investors. CurvetAI plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its technology infrastructure, expand its team and build agent-based products that can take on increasingly complex workflows on behalf of users.

The startup is addressing a problem that has emerged alongside the rapid expansion of generative AI: users often have to decide which tool is best suited to a task, maintain multiple subscriptions and move between different products to complete a single workflow.

CurvetAI brings text, image, audio and video capabilities into a single visual workspace, allowing users to compare outputs and connect different tools within the same project. The platform is also designed to determine which underlying technology is best suited to a particular task.

“AI has become incredibly capable, but increasingly fragmented. The user is still expected to understand which model is best for a particular task and then figure out how to make different tools work together. We believe that complexity should sit with the platform,” said Vivek Dubey, co-founder and CEO, CurvetAI.

CurvetAI initially started as a platform for discovering AI tools and prompts. The founders soon found that discovery addressed only part of the problem, as users still had to leave the platform to actually use those products.

That prompted the company to shift towards a workspace where different capabilities could be accessed and combined within the same project.

“As the number of specialised models grows, making AI genuinely useful will depend as much on choosing the right intelligence as on having access to it,” Dubey said.

Merak Ventures founding partner Sheetal Bahl said the increasing complexity of the AI ecosystem could create an opportunity for platforms that simplify how users interact with it.

“The best technology companies often emerge when a market becomes more complex than its users should have to understand, and Curvet saw that inflection early,” Bahl said.

CurvetAI is used by individuals, teams and educational institutions. For AI developers, the platform also provides a distribution channel to reach users, gather feedback and understand how their products are being used.

The startup has collaborations with GnaniAI, Rumik AI and Alibaba and is working with educational institutions across India.

Dubey, who studied design at the Symbiosis Institute of Design in Pune, has previously worked at Infosys, Microsoft and Google. Gupta, co-founder and CTO, has worked at Samsung and leads CurvetAI’s engineering and technology infrastructure.

The company is now focusing on agent-based capabilities that could allow the platform to move beyond simply providing access to different AI tools and towards executing multi-step tasks with greater autonomy.
