Coforge launches AI Launchpad to help enterprises build and run AI stacks in-house

IT services company Coforge announced on Wednesday that it has launched a new enterprise AI offering that will allow organisations to build, fine-tune, deploy and operate their own AI stack within controlled environments, as companies look for greater control over data, costs and AI infrastructure.

The offering, called Coforge AI Launchpad, is powered by the company’s AI platform Nuuron and is aimed at helping enterprises move AI projects from pilots to production amid challenges around talent availability, fragmented infrastructure, governance and auditability.

According to Coforge, the platform allows enterprises to route workloads across open-weight and frontier AI models depending on business requirements, regulatory constraints, performance needs and cost considerations. The approach is designed to reduce dependence on any single model or technology provider.

“Enterprise AI is entering a new phase where control matters as much as capability,” said Lalit Wadhwa, chief technology officer at Coforge. He said the offering is designed to give enterprises flexibility to use different AI models while retaining ownership of their data, intellectual property and AI environments.

Coforge said it is already deploying the offering with clients operating in sectors where data sovereignty and regulatory compliance are critical.

Its current deployments include a sovereign AI environment for a US-based clinical healthcare intelligence company. The company also said managed AI routing helped a major US bank reduce AI-related costs while maintaining governance and auditability.

The company said AI Launchpad brings together six areas of services spanning strategy and advisory, infrastructure and platform, model engineering and customisation, deployment and integration, LLMOps, observability and guardrails, and governance, FinOps and managed run services.

“Enterprises spent the first wave of AI renting intelligence. The next wave will be about owning it,” said Anup Nair, chief AI commercial officer at Coforge.

The launch comes as enterprises increasingly experiment with open-weight AI models, which can offer greater control and customisation compared with relying entirely on closed, third-party AI models. However, deploying and managing these models at scale can require significant infrastructure, engineering talent and governance capabilities.

Coforge is positioning AI Launchpad as a managed approach to this challenge, allowing companies to retain control over their AI environments while changing models and infrastructure as their requirements evolve.
