Gujarat's deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi announced the signing of pact between the state government and construction major at the AI Impact Summit, saying, "Gujarat takes a giant leap in AI infrastructure."
"At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat signed an MoU with L&T Vyoma to explore setting up a 250 MW Green AI-ready Hyperscale Data Center Campus at Dholera Special Investment Region," he wrote in a post on X.
Sanghvi added that this initiative will strengthen Gujarat’s position as a leading destination for AI, cloud and sustainable digital infrastructure with a proposed investment of Rs 25,000 crore.
Earlier on February 16, L&T Vyoma launched its Sovereign Cloud Platform (SCP), positioning it as an AI-first cloud infrastructure designed to meet the growing enterprise and public-sector demand for data sovereignty, regulatory compliance and secure AI adoption.

L&T-Nvidia partnership
Larsen & Toubro unveiled some major investment announcements at the AI Impact Summit 2026, including a joint venture with Nvidia to build a sovereign, scalable GW-scale AI factory infrastructure.The venture will scale Nvidia GPU cluster deployment at its Chennai-based data centre up to 30 MW capacity in its 300-acre GW-scalable campus and at the new 40 MW data centre in Mumbai, which is currently under execution.
The venture, under the IndiaAI Mission, is aimed at India’s enterprises, policymakers, industry leaders, global off-takers and analysts seeking production-grade AI capacity anchored in India’s digital and industrial transformation.
The AI factory would integrate L&T’s engineering, infrastructure development and will be executed with Nvidia AI infrastructure including, GPUs, CPUs, Networking, storage platforms from leading providers, AI Enterprise software stack and reference architectures to enable rapid, secure AI adoption.
Keeping the investment amount undisclosed, S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director of L&T said that the investment establishes the foundation — secure, scalable, and sovereign infrastructure — required to power manufacturing, energy, financial services, healthcare and public services.
