���I recall a Cabinet meeting in July 1991, when the then finance minister, Manmohan Singh, had brought to the Cabinet his economic reforms agenda. There was scepticism, criticism....many thought the Congress was doing a somersault on its socialist ideals,��� recalled Mr Nath.

���It has been a very long journey since then. India has adopted and adapted. But it has not been achieved by one person or reforms carried out by one person. It���s been a team effort and this award is a tribute to the team led by PM Manmohan Singh,��� he said.
