26/11 attacks spur demand for comprehensive security
A fool proof security system has been on the mind of every citizen post 26/11 terror attacks on Mumbai, feel experts who deal in security sector.
The attacks have increased demand for substance detection category of security equipment, said D E Byramjee, Vice-President and Business Head of security equipment division, Godrej & Boyce.
People have started considering security seriously and have started adopting strict measures to ensure that their premises are secure, he said.
The demand for GADE 650, a substance detection equipment by Godrej, has gone high and the company has been getting a lot of enquiries from all over the country post unfortunate attack on Mumbai, he said.
"Post terror attacks we have been getting a lot of enquiries from the hotel segment, institutions and even from home segment for complete security solutions," Beyramjee said.
People have started realizing the need for a security consultant and a security expert. A lot of cold enquiries which were under the shelves have now become hot leads and a few deals have also been closed, he said.
Elaborating on comprehensive security solutions, he said providing just surveillance system or any one product does not provide security. One has to understand the perceived level of threats and the risks involved. Only after a thorough analysis, a solution has to be provided.
