Low on cash due to covid lockdown? You can tap into your EPS account

EPFO announced in March 2020 that its members can withdraw money from their Employees' Provident Fund corpus to tide over the coronavirus crisis. As of April 28, EPFO has settled a total of 12.91 lakh claims. Most employees have EPF accounts. Of these, eligible employees have Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) accounts too, which means that their EPF corpus also has a pension component.
