Delhi Police gets a new thermal headgear
With the country grappling to deal with the coronavirus, the safety of people working to make the nationwide lockdown as smooth as possible - police personnel - comes to the fore.
And with police working full time - patrolling and enforcing social distance - they need protective gear, and more than what they already have - masks and gloves.
To further protect their cops, the Delhi Police have armed them with thermal protection equipment so that they can gauge threats and stay safe.
The new equipment - thermal headgear - designed by a local company can gauge the temperature of any person within a five to 10 meters radius.
This invention comes at a time when many cops across the country are succumbing to COVID-19, in the line of duty, with Maharashtra’s police force the worst affected.
