Tata and Mistry may part ways after 70 yrs; experts say this is the only practical solution

A relationship of almost 7 decades is set to come to an end, as Shapoorji Pallonji, the largest minority shareholder in Tata Group, agrees to part ways with the company. Shapoorji Pallonji Group said on Tuesday that it has stated before the Supreme Court that a separation from the Tata Group is necessary due to the potential impact the continuing litigation could have on livelihoods and the economy. The SP Group stated that it was crucial that an early resolution is reached to arrive at "a fair and equitable solution" reflecting the value of the underlying tangible and intangible assets.
