Hi there, this is Saloni Goel from ETMarkets.com. You have tuned into our weekday special and in today's edition, we want to dig deeper into Moody's downgrade of India's credit outlook.

Late last night, Moody's Investor Services downgraded India's credit rating outlook to 'negative' from 'stable' on concerns that the country's economic growth would remain materially lower than in the past. The agency doesn't expect the credit squeeze in the NBFC sector to be resolved quickly either.

In a rebuttal to Moody's downgrade, the Finance Ministry said India’s economic fundamentals remain strong and it still is among the world’s fastest-growing economies.

But the question is, how should this downgrade be judged? Does it mean Indian quickly needs more reforms? Does it mean the domestic stock market has a painful consolidation phase ahead?

Well, we explore this and more in today's podcast with Anand Rathi's Chief Economist Sujan Hazra.

>> How would you react to Moody's downgrading India outlook to negative?

>> Do you concur with Moody's view that India's NBFC mess is not closer to getting resolved?

>> The FinMin maintains that the economy's fundamentals remain robust. But data suggests otherwise. What is your take?

>> Do you think the govt measures and RBI rate cuts are enough to arrest the slowdown? Or do you expect the govt to do more

>> Lastly, the market's initial reaction to the development was benign. Do you think market has already priced in the worst?

Thank you, sir, for your time & solid insights. But for lack of time, we have to wrap it here. Dear listeners, do check out this space for such mid-week market analyses and don't forget to tune in to our weekend specials. Goodbye
