Samsung has rolled out its Health platform on its smart TVs from 2020, giving customers access to free content from six fitness and wellness app partners. These include Calm, Echelon, Barre3, Jillian Michaels Fitness App, Fitplan, and Obé Fitness.

The 2018 and 2019 models received integration with Samsung Health in April, while those who purchased smart TVs in 2020 had to wait a month to avail the benefit. The content partnerships mean that there is over 5,000 hours of free content and 250 fitness-related instructional videos. These will be available free of cost for the first one year.

“The whole intention of Samsung Health is to motivate our consumers to live healthier lives by meeting them wherever they are, across Samsung platforms. We knew that to do this, we needed to develop a user-centric and immersive platform that offered a variety of in-home fitness and wellness options.

“Given the current climate, we hope that the launch of Samsung Health makes it easier for our consumers to prioritise their physical and mental well-being on a daily basis,” Won-Jin Lee, Executive Vice President of Service Business at Samsung Electronics, said in a statement.

The catalogue includes workout content like Zumba, boxing, HIIT and also meditation and mindfulness videos. Progress made on the Health platform will be synced with other Samsung devices like smartphones and wearables.
