'All eyes on me': The Internet had a hearty laugh as Haryana CM ML Khattar arrived on a bicycle and Dushyant Chautala rode a tractor to the polling booth.
The 90 Assembly seats in Haryana went to poll this morning and some politicians made a statement as they arrived at the polling booth in style..

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, kept it real as he rode a bicycle to the polling booth to cast his vote. This move of the CM broke the Internet and interesting reactions started pouring in on social media.

Some people were ‘delighted’ to see the CM go green and ride a bicycle.

Others were skeptical as they interpreted the move as an attempt to woo the voters.

Khattar, in an effort to do away with the ‘VIP treatment’, first took a Janshatabdi Express from Chandigarh to his hometown in Karnal. From the railway station there, he took an e-rickshaw to his home and from there, he rode a bicycle to the polling booth in Karnal.

When asked about travelling in a train, he replied: "I am a commoner and have come to vote as the common man."

While the 65-year-old earned virtual appreciation for being humble and doing away with VIP treatment, the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leader, Dushyant Chautala, was in the news for a completely different reason.

The JJP leader arrived at the polling booth in Sirsa on a tractor along with his family. It was indeed a spectacle to behold as the man drove the tractor to the booth.

If the social media reactions are to believed, the move by Chautala was meant to pay tribute to the farmers of the nation. "I hope every citizen will vote to give a new direction to Haryana, which will strengthen the farmers of the state,” said Dushyant.

This Twitter user didn’t mince his word(s) when it came to Chautala.

On the other hand, this man was all praises for the 31-year-old politician.

While one politician gives up the ‘VIP treatment’, another one embraces it in a bid to support the farmers.

Needless to say, all eyes are on Haryana polls as political leaders use different modes of transport to make a political statement.
