A day after Kangana Ranaut and Diljit Dosanjh had a scrap on Twitter, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has now sought action against the actress.

The Punjab-based party has sent a legal notice to the Bollywood actress and sought an unconditional apology for ‘derogatory tweet calling the aged mother of a farmer as a woman available for Rs 100'.

SAD National Spokesperson Manjinder Singh Sirsa tweeted a picture of the notice. In his tweet, he wrote that the ‘Panga’ actress must apologise for trying to imply through her tweets that the “farmers’ protests were anti-national”.

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee also slapped a legal notice on the actress. Advocate Harpreet Singh Hora in his notice claimed that when Ranaut's premises (in Mumbai) were demolished, she used social media "to gather solidarity" from her fans, stating that the action was an attack on her fundamental rights.

"Similarly, the right to peacefully protest is part of the farmers' rights under the Constitution of India and she cannot claim a right to demean and insult the farmers," the notice sent by Hora, on behalf of the committee member Jasmain Singh Noni, read.

On Thursday, Twitter saw Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh and Ranaut locked in a bitter fight.

Dosanjh, the voice behind multiple chartbusters including 'Laal Ghaghra' and 'Ikk Kudi', shared a 2-minute-long BBC India video in which Mahinder Kaur, whom Ranaut had wrongly identified as Bano, is seen sharing her views on the contentious farm bills that have triggered the ongoing protests.

Ranaut hit back at Dosanjh with a tweet implying that the singer was a part of the Karan Johar clique. She also tried to defend her earlier tweets by saying that 'Shaheen Bagh dadi' Bilkis Bano was indeed seen protesting for farmer's rights as well, and that she herself didn't know Mahinder Kaur.

Dosanjh was quick to retort, questioning her about her loyalties while signing films and other projects in B-town. He also slammed her stating that they were not Bollywood folks but people from Punjab who would give a befitting reply to her dramatic efforts.

Kangana Managed By Sister Rangoli; Other Celebs Who Too Mixed Family & Showbiz
1/4

Actress Kangana Ranaut is used to making news, be it for winning a National Award, creating waves at the box office, or even for her personal life. The actress is known to not mince her words, even if it means things not always working in her favour. While Ranaut doesn’t shy away from commenting on issues she feels strongly about, recently the ‘Manikarnika’ actress has been receiving flak from a section of the media.

However, it’s not just Ranaut’s statements that have come under scrutiny, but also that of her sister and manager, Rangoli Chandel. Chandel’s tweets often slamming anyone and everyone in Bollywood, have received criticism. Several fans have even taken to the microblogging site to say that Rangoli, whose Twitter bio reads 'Manager & Sister to #KanganaRanaut' may be harming the 'Queen' star's image and overshadowing her work. some have even requested the actress to hire a professional publicist.

But Kangana isn't the first celebrity to be managed by a family member. Several others have also taken the family route when it comes to professional matters.

Queen Bey and her father-manager Mathew Knowles's fallout was the stuff of headlines. While the 67-year-old now claims that he shares a good relationship with both his daughters, Beyoncé and Solange, after having learnt to switch from manager to father, it wasn't always the case. Mathew not only managed 'Destiny's Child' but reportedly also trained three members to sing.

Mathew was around right from the beginning of Beyoncé's career, until over a decade later when on March 28 in 2011 the 'Sorry' singer announced that the duo were going their separate ways, and the decision was mutual.

Since the split, the singer has been managed by her own company, Parkwood Entertainment.
